It's mandatory to read the lyrics while listening because the music's impact is a lot more intense. their most gloomy mood would have had difficulty in creating such a orchestrated descent into absolute darkness as "The Umbersun". 7. Elend is a neoclassical darkwave band from France formed in by composers and multi-instrumentalists Iskandar Hasnawi and Renaud Tschirner. The band's name is German for "misery", however "im Elende sein" is also an Old German expression for "to be far away". The music can be described as gothic and orchestral music with post-romanticism undertones, or simply violent .

8. This album plays like a soundtrack to “Dante's Inferno”, only less humble. First of all, this is a classical album. It alternates between two primary styles: the haunting, yet graceful piano, strings, and vocal driven areas, and the atonal, blaringly loud, chaotic hurricanes of hell areas. Elend’s past albums sound almost giddy in comparison.
